ABOUT THE CONTENT
All students who wish to participate must send a video clipping of a speech fulfilling the criteria given below.
The presentation should start with the following introduction:
“I am………[name], I live in …………[country] studying in Grade …. at ……[school name] happy to be a part of the GEMA International Student Speaker Competition [you pronounce gema like you say gem], would like to speak on….[theme]”
Each participant can submit only one video speech for the contest
Video resolution: min 360p to max 720p
It is recommended that such participants be given a time limit not exceeding 3 minutes. The participant’s marks should be deducted in case they exceed their allocated time limit.
Video Size should not be more then 250 MB. You can use https://www.freeconvert.com/video-compressor to compress your video if needed.
Voice of the participant must be clear and audible
A copy of the extract chosen can be attached as a word file in the form
The video can be shot using a mobile or any other camera.
Video orientation should be horizontal
Contestants are to be dressed neatly and properly. The dress code is formal.
Video should be recorded without background noises or any other disturbances
There should be proper lighting so the contestant is clearly visible.
The speech must be confined to the theme. Wrong or Controversial information would invite disqualification;
The candidate should not read a written message, but speak directly to the camera;
The video must be newly recorded exclusively for this Competition. It should not have been submitted for any other competition or event nor have been already published.
II HOW TO REGISTER AND SUBMIT
Once your video is ready, then fill the online registration form above.
Once you click the submit button, it will redirect you to the payment page, where you have to pay the fee
Once fee is paid it will redirect you to the submission form where you need to share the following:
1. Video File
2. ID Proof (College ID, Passport, Resident Permit, Birth Certificate etc..)
3. Clear Picture of the Contestant
4. Contestants can upload a printed copy of the piece being recited
The last date for submission of entries is 30 September 2025

5 Confidence 10 points
The average of the marks awarded by the 3 judges should be calculated. The average marks thus calculated shall be the final marks for a particular candidate.
IV STATUTORY
The Jury’s decision will be final
GEMA holds the right to publish the videos in their other media in future
The registered candidates are considered to have agreed to the terms and conditions of the contest
GEMA can exercise its jurisdiction in adjusting the norms and pattern of the contest, if required.
GEMA reserve the right to take appropriate action for any unethical, unprofessional and immoral conduct.
GEMA’s decision regarding interpretation of rules or any other matter related to competition will be final.
If there is any situation not contemplated in the rules, GEMA’s decision on the same shall be final.
V HONOURS
There will be 1 Winner in each Category, who will get a Trophy, Amazing Gift Hamper and a Certificate.
5 Additional Inspiring and Outstanding Videos in each category will be given Medals and a Certificate.
Every participant will get a Certificate.

Evaluation Criteria
Oratory Skills – 25 points
The clarity, articulation, and fluency of speech.
Presentation Skills – 20 points
How engaging and effective the delivery is, including body language and tone.
Clarity of Thought – 20 points
The coherence and logical flow of the ideas expressed.
Final Score Calculation:
The final score for each participant will be the average of the marks awarded by the three judges. This average will determine the participant’s overall performance.
Statutory Terms & Conditions
Jury’s Decision
The decision of the jury is final and binding.
Video Publication Rights
GEMA reserves the right to publish the submitted videos across its media platforms in the future.
Agreement to Terms
By registering for the contest, all candidates are considered to have agreed to the terms and conditions of the competition.
Modification of Contest Rules
GEMA holds the authority to adjust the contest norms and format as deemed necessary.
Unethical Conduct
GEMA reserves the right to take appropriate action against any participant found engaging in unethical, unprofessional, or immoral conduct.
Interpretation of Rules
GEMA’s interpretation of the rules or any other matter related to the competition shall be final.
Unforeseen Situations
In case of any unforeseen situations not addressed in the rules, GEMA’s decision will be final.
Honours
There will be one winner in each category, who will receive a trophy, an amazing gift hamper, and a certificate. Additionally, five inspiring and outstanding videos in each category will be awarded medals and a certificate. Every participant in the competition will also receive a certificate for their participation.
