ammyra Rajpal : A Candid Conversation With Young Voices

GEMA Education conducted an inspiring interview session which was took over by Ammyra Rajpal who shared her thoughts, journey and passion for public speaking. Ammyra is just 9 and a half years old and she is a student of Springdale School, New Delhi. Ammyra has won the title of GEMA Student Speaker Competition winner. This interview is in context to capture her excitement and learning experiences.

Ammyra mentions that her joy was palpable when she had heard the news for the first time. Her congratulatory email was read out by her mother which sparked celebrations across her home and school. Her winning speech was centered around “The Future of Technology,” which she chose wisely, thinking about timely and far-sighted topics. The topic was chosen for its relevance and importance.

Her mother was a close guide of hers’ . Ammyra dedicatedly rehearsed, expanded her vocabulary and refined her delivery. She also openly shared that this experience not only helped her to overcome her stage fear but also helped in mastering the topic as a result of going deep into the topic.

Throughout the interview, Ammyra was confident yet grounded. She also expressed her love for public speaking and compared the same to the thrill of participating in school assemblies and such functions. Upon being asked of her dream topic, she joyfully chose “How to Follow Your Dreams”, which shows a reflection of her optimistic spirit.

Apart from speaking, Ammyra is a growing musician. She has earned distinctions in western vocals from Trinity College of London.

This episode conducted by GEMA Education was not just an interview session with a contest winner, but a beautiful reminder that young voices should be nurtured and they should be allowed to shine with confidence, creativity and purpose.
